True. But the Caucasoid in SE Asians mainly come from South Asia/Indian subcontinent rather than from Middle East or Europe.

Most SE Asians received their Caucasoid/West Eurasian admixture from South Asians like Indians, who in turn, are a mix of Ancient Ancestral South Indians and Caucasoids who are Iranian Neolithic Farmers and Steppe Indo-Europeans.

Ancient Ancestral South Indians likely phenotypically resemble Veddoids, Australoids, and the closest modern day group to them are the Paniya who are a tribal group from Southern India along with other tribal groups in the region.

Meanwhile Iranian Neolithic Farmers are genetically very different from modern day Iranians are the closest to the Baloch, Brahui, Makrani who are nomadic pastoralist ethnic groups from Western part of Pakistan, Southeastern Iran and Southern Afghanistan- this area is also called Balochistan.

Steppe peoples or Indo-Europeans are genetically closest to modern day NE Europeans like Baltics, some Slavs such as Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, etc.

Here is what Baloch, Brahui,Makrani look like: these three ethnicities are phenotypically and very genetically similar to one another.

It's a bit crazy to think that most SE Asians partially descended to someone who look like these people if we go back far enough in time. I will post pics of what Ancient Ancestral South Indians and Steppe peoples may look like in the next posts.

Caucasoid also includes India and North Africans I believe. I see no problem with the study.

@jaenelle

Indians on average are only half Caucasoid genetically like they are a split between 50% Ancient Ancestral South Indians which is an indigenous local component distantly related to Australoids and 50% Caucasoid (mostly a mix of Iranian Neolithic Farmer- who are genetically very different from modern day Iranians and very similar to the Baloch/Brahui/Makrani whose pics I posted above and Steppe which most closely related to modern day NE Europeans like Baltics, some Slavs).

Only NW South Asians like Jatts, a lot of Punjabis, Kashmiris, Sindhis, North Indian upper castes can be considered as mostly Caucasoid.

If we count India as Caucasoid, we will have include North Sudanese or Horn Africans like Ethiopians, Somalians, Eritreans as Caucasoid as well as they have the same amount of Caucasoid as Indians do.

North Africans are also mostly Caucasoid.
