The U.S and Chinas economy is too intertwined to start World War 3. Once the multipolar world order is established then war is possible between the U.S & China. China will have to choose between a war with all of us or a multipolar world.
To deter China, Japan & South Korea will have to acquire nukes & a missile defense shield. China will have no choice but to build a arms race and focus their resources to northern China and the silk road for oil.
@zexsypmp23 chinese have been playing the long game creating a supply chain economic dependency from the world. SEA countries can do the same thing, ramp up manufacturing, farming ect..to replace china. I don't know about other countries but the VNmese commies are too dumb to do that.

Cut the Chinese trade route from Malaysia and watch 600 million Chinese starve to death within 6 months. The Pinoys just opened more U.S. military bases. So, it makes sense for the Pinoys to call their Muslim counterpart for backup. Once, Malaysia & Indonesia started hosting US or British troops, then it was a wrap for the Chinese.
@james If China does invade Taiwan, Sanctions on China will be far worst than the Russian sanctions. The question is how do we prepare for the bleeding if sanctions were imposed? the answer is more years of global supply chain friend-shoring.
Cutting the trade sea route isn't a death blow as experts are saying because China has already prepared to expand in the middle east. The Answer to this question is to get India, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, and Oman to join the alliance.

@james After, US military is positioned in the Philippines. Singapore, Thailand then Malaysia, Indonesia will be next. President Marcos will eventually ask the other ASEAN members to join.
@james it's not that simple because cargo ships are linked to the global chain. For example, tesla, apple has ships coming from China. before a blockade can be executed the world global chain has to reorder away from China first.
