Chicoms and wallstreet are secret brothers, very easy to see it was an operation coordinated between chicoms and the wallstreet, Mr Liu`s wife was a powerful woman and the real force of the man in question. It could even have been a family strife played out in forms of financial and political dramas. The wallstreet is deeply involved in the CCP`s political and economic affairs, and there are many secret liaisons between the two forces we might never know if they do not surface themselves. But you really do not need to delve too deep into Liu`s case since the power structure dictates that some players even liaisons are dispensable but their rules do not change much.
Man, I know nothing about global oligarchs and the western global order, I was strictly speaking about the lost cause of Taiwan, a country of spitting distance from mainland China. Even if the PLA mobilized only their navy, that would be 300,000+ of active personnel, in addition to 600 ships and the same number of aircraft. That kind of force would be enough to fuck up any kind of opposition from ROC and its allies, and that's just one branch of the PLA.
The US is capable of drawing a line on Japan and the Philippines, because the loss of the aforementioned would be a tremendous blow on the US Armed Forces' ability to project power.
But Taiwan is just not worth the hassle for the US.
Part and parcel of waging wars successfully is to know when to make a tactical withdrawal.
Taiwan is not lost neither is Japan, properous hightech systems and more transparent international investments in Eastern Europe and other countries. Taiwan`s annexation to China is even more absurd than splitting China into independent countries, since chicoms claim to Taiwan is no more just than they claiming Hawaii, therefore it is right to consider invasion of Taiwan a global campaign against all countries. Considering South China sea claim, after Taiwan chicoms will claim the world under the auspices of corrupt people like billgates and elonmarx, they are outspoken commies, and there are half a million of these people backing up China with their traitorships to their respective native countries. Chicoms are not real chinese, but collaborators of western capitalists in usurping peoples power and wealths, this is not just for Taiwan, also Japan and chinese people and the world and everyone.They're taking gradual steps but they're a long way from being a real threat.
China is not a threat but a commie regime is a threat anywhere anytime, because they designate a system of international machination, they do not work alone when they seem to be. Don`t be fooled.
