Spotify (in Singapore, as far as I know) has of late been playing an ad having something to do with ‘playstation music’.
it’s in Mandarin.
I listen to either English pop, lyricless study music or Disney. Nothing in mandarin or with chinese instruments. So why am I subjected to this noisy ad with all its background noises of guns reloading as the voiceovers are shouting across the sound of it?!
Never once have I heard the English version of the ad, fyi. Perhaps they should rethink their publicity strategy?
Chinese privilege is being okay with subjecting others to ads about things they do not care about, in a language they do not understand.
