there are a minority of Filipinos who are Christians of the Eastern Rites. The Antiochian Orthodox church has a presence there as well as what used to be the Ancient Church of the East until they split years later.
''at one point'' Christianity must have been repelled by the locals just like how the Japanese & Vietnamese repelled the Catholic missionaries. But it's interesting that you have mentioned that Christianity has coexisted with the native faiths.
Eastern Rites sect in the Philippines I think are fraud but I am not too knowledgeable because I am not Catholic.

Christianity has been in China far longer than in the Philippines & South Korea. The big difference is Christianity has not spread out throughout East Asia.

That’s because Christianity and Buddhism were wiped out by Islam such as the Timurid conquests.
Out of all Christian faiths, the various Orthodox and Eastern churches suffered the most because of persecution and forced conversion to Islam.
