@wei-nihao

I'm not American. I'm Korean.

China threatened South Korea to not impose any travel restrictions on China multiple times, and President Moon, the lapdog of Xi Jinping, succumbed to this threat from China, leading to a major outbreak in South Korea.

If not for the superb medical care system already in place and the much improved viral outbreak response infrastructure developed after the MERS outbreak in 2015, South Korea could've been another Italy, another unfortunate country lead by a lapdog of China.

@saltech

you must have run away from the ksentry asylum and then come here. I'm not debating with you I'm just listing some common sense items.

- if Moon is friendly to China China isn't going to threaten him

- SK should have been on high alert like NK, Taiwan in any case. It was your job to quarantine and track entries. Even today China hasn't closed its own border with any country.

- SK was a bit slow but then got into action quick enough. Your big problem was with cults and super spreaders.

- low death rate probably benefited from early experience from Hubei. Same death rate as China outside Hubei.

The Chinese ambassador, among others, has been pressuring South Korea not to go forward with restricting entries from China since Feb 2nd.

- China threatened South Korea many times and even imposed economic sanctions, despite with the pro-China President Moon in power, with issues like THAAD.

- NK and Taiwan banned all entries from China very early on. I hope South Korea followed their exemplary lead. Although information of NK can't always be trusted. And currently, China is de facto restricting all entries of South Korean nationals with a few exceptions, like diplomats, scientists and important traders. Even they also need to go through a 2 week quarantine. And I just read China is now blocking entries from Russia.

- The cult has been blamed by the Moon administration to distract the public from his total failure in preventing the outbreak by succumbing to China's pressure into allowing entries from China, despite many warnings and pleas from South Korea's medical professionals to immediately block all entries from China. It is not yet known how the super spreader got infected, but one thing is clear, the super spreader got infected in South Korea by another super spreader that is yet to be identified. This unidentified super spreader is still at large. It is most likely that the numerous Chinese visitors attending Sincheonji-related events and their stay in the Daegu area spread the virus. Also, about 1000 Chinese students visited Daegu in January 2020 in their school field trips, another possible vector of mass infection.

- Hubei or China had absolutely nothing to do with low death-rates in South Korea. First off, reports from Hubei and China overall were most likely grossly under-exaggerated. And secondly, South Korea has an advanced, state-of-the-art medical care infrastructure, where China is not even close. And thirdly, there is the virus strain to consider. Different strains may have different lethality. An early report on two different strains showed results where the strain in South Korea is a more benign one. And despite limitations in number of samples, DNA-based analysis also seem to suggest that the ones in South Korea are not directly really from Wuhan, but from Beijing and maybe Anhui.

Wuhan virus is not racists or calling it Wuhan wet market bat virus is not racists.

calling it a Chinese virus would be a different story because most Chinese don't get bats or rats.

Aids came from Africa because a man had sex with a monkey. show me a study that Aids originated from San Francisco.

Details of the origin of HIV remain unclear. However, a lentivirus that is genetically similar to HIV has been found in chimpanzees and gorillas in western equatorial Africa. That virus is known as simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV), and it was once widely thought to be harmless in chimpanzees. However, in 2009 a team of researchers investigating chimpanzee populations in Africa found that SIV in fact causes AIDS-like illness in the animals. SIV-infected chimpanzees have a death rate that is 10 to 16 times higher than their uninfected counterparts. The practice of hunting, butchering, and eating the meat of chimpanzees may have allowed transmission of the virus to humans, probably in the late 19th or early 20th century. The strain of SIV found in gorillas is known as SIVgor, and it is distinct from the strain found in chimpanzees. Because primates are suspected of being the source of HIV, AIDS is considered a zoonosis, an infection that is shared by humans and other vertebrate animals.

Genetic studies of a pandemic strain of HIV, known as HIV-1 group M, have indicated that the virus emerged between 1884 and 1924 in central and western Africa. Researchers estimate that that strain of the virus began spreading throughout those areas in the late 1950s. Later, in the mid-1960s, an evolved strain called HIV-1 group M subtype B spread from Africa to Haiti. In Haiti that subtype acquired unique characteristics, presumably through the process of genetic recombination. Sometime between 1969 and 1972, the virus migrated from Haiti to the United States. The virus spread within the United States for about a decade before it was discovered in the early 1980s. The worldwide spread of HIV-1 was likely facilitated by several factors, including increasing urbanization and long-distance travel in Africa, international travel, changing sexual mores, and intravenous drug use.
