@athena

We all buy and consume what we believe offers value. It is one of the fundamental drivers of people’s purchasing decisions.

anything foreign is better 😫 Gucci bags make me so highly cultured  🙄 anything white is better. I have a white boyfriend, Do you? 🤢

In order for Vietnam to rise is to be the opposite of Pinoy. Vietnamese society must not fall on foreign consumption

🤬#Fight Chinese Oppression #Viet Lives Matter 🤠 #Stop Chinese absorption of Vietnam. #Free Uyghurs #Free Austronesians in Taiwan. #free the Tibetans.

A few observation on thrifting.

1, it’s becoming so popular now. You see all kinds of people. The other day at the Goodwill outlet/bin stores. I saw a group of young white guys, I’d say not over 20. Hard to tell how many in the group, maybe some young white girls too. When I saw these guys I immediately think not good, we have resalers here. The guys were digging the bins across from me. I notice they were being directed by an older white guy, around 30sh. They would line up when new bins come out. They take things from the bin, take pictures of the items right on the floor, make videos of their haul. Entertaining to watch.

anyway, Icame across a high school women soccer jersey. I was attracted by the ocean blue color and orange lettering. I examined it a bit then decided to put it back, not my style. The guys must be watching me because they asked me to pass them the top and they kept it. Made me wonder if I made a mistake. Watching videos it seems these jerseys sell well. Who buys them, must be young girls. Other things they picked up band and celebrity T-shirt’s. One with Led Zeplin and the other with Muhammad Ali.

there was another group of young Hispanic guys, looked like resalers too because they were picking up stuff that clearly are not for them.

These resaler white girls were aggressive. Usually you leave a spce between you and the next person. These people didn’t. They were digging over my space and threw things on top of my stuff. At one point I was standing next to a fat chola girl. She didn’t strike me as a resaler but so ghetto. She would be taking stuff from in front of me and kept saying excuse me as if I was in her way. I was not interested in ghetto behavior so I went to a different bin.

then in came a couple of black teen boys with back packs. They were called by staff to put it away.

all in all kinda fun. I do it for fun and the kids even when resealing are doing this for pocket cash.
