@lannie
they asked WHO to investigate patient records in the US, and test for anti-bodies in patients that recovered from the flu last year. But they didn't insist further because there was a kind of "truce" with Trump in late March, when they reopened medical exports and just tried to focus on containment. In the current environment, anything suggested by China, US will do just the opposite. 😪
well, there are a lot of conspiracy theories. Why does the US have 200 biological labs OUTSIDE of the US? Early on it was suggested the ACE marker important to the virus was 5 times more common in mongoloid males. Wuhan was a major transportation hub and the outbreak happened just before the mass travel period of spring festival. So, the theories were rampant. But then we saw the situation in US and Europe, now we focus on why they think we should pay reparations...
The death rate in confirmed cases is not the overall death rate
Most cases of most viruses go uncounted because people tend not to visit the doctor with mild symptoms.
On 17 March, the chief scientific adviser for the UK, Sir Patrick Vallance, estimated there were about 55,000 cases in the UK, when the confirmed case count was just under 2,000.
Dividing deaths by 2,000 will give you a much higher death rate than dividing by 55,000. \
