Why are Asians so obsess with Amerindians? is it because we are cool?

I have never heard of Filipinos claiming Amerindians as Filipinos. I live in Canada and we can see Natives in the casinos chilling. They have features similar to ours but we never claimed them. 

@prau123. I've seen those films and love them but most Filipinos haven't seen them unfortunately.  I don't follow boxing but even if Filipinos know those guys, they don't know they are NA.

It's only Rambo who is obsessed, I think he wants to join an Indian tribe so he can avoid TAXES and scam the government.

it's only me who are interested in here.  Some of the North American natives have a similar look to us, it's natural for us to get curious and to study them.

As for the Caribbean and Latin American natives. some of them can have a similar look to us but way different from the North American Indians.
