I have read through Japanese culture books and purviewed some online comments and I found out that the politeness and sensitivity to etiquette among the Japanese are top-notch. This is all the more obvious in the Japanese tea ceremony, wherein there is so much attention given minutae and hospitality is the top priority. Personally, I find this very endearing since the degree of civilization a people posses is most often shown by their affinity to good manners and right conduct.

I wish I could emulate this civility among the Japanese and apply it to my own Filipino people...

Nevertheless, may I ask, what is the main reason and what is the secret behind such immaculate manners among the Japanese? I think this is something that everybody should emulate.

Lol everything from the tone of the voice and the mannerism of the body's movement exudes so much interest from me.

This interests me very much

Japan is made up of beautiful islands but these Islands are harsh and difficult places to live , at least in ancient times. I Think the need to survive made people think about everything and whether it can be done better. Same goes for society. On Islands, there is no where to go. you can't run away from problems. you have to learn to live with each other and get along.

So in my opinion, it is the deep rooted desire to improve things coupled with a culture that places society first over the individual is what created things like the Tea ceremony, polite society, and low crime rate.

Elaborate harsh and difficult please. Like it's hard to grow crops or have good agriculture? I mean the Phils and Indo is made up of beautiful islands too, but there has never been any kind of respect like on the Japanese level
The Javanese from middle Java however did and still do imo. But the rest afaik no.

I admire Japanese people for their politeness and hospitality.  They are officially my favorite Asians. 😆

because they have morals. they believe in kami spirits of every organism on the earth.

they believe in consequences of bad behavior. They are not atheist, they are agnostic.

the value social harmony, order and human relationships.  they are ''total opposite'' & I meant ''total opposite'' of the Chinese.
