I think due to "Convergent evolution" Convergent evolution - Wikipedia

All Native Americans are genetically closest to Siberians overall, however due to divergent evolution Southern Amerindians' appearance changed because of evolution in a more tropical climate giving them a pseudo-SEasian look while North Amerindians evolved in colder ones.
