China's birth rate has fallen to 1.3 similar as other East Asian countries. There were only 16 million new born last year, compared to 23 million in the late 1960's. For decades it was the only country in the world to have a one-child policy, it's planning now to raise the family size to 3 children per family.

India should have follow what China was doing. Now half of their country is in the slums because of their overpopulation.

they may over take China in just one or two years, their birthrate is still very high in the countryside. most of India is still rural.

@wei-nihao It is in their culture to throw out garbage on their land, wherever they want to. Shows how much care and cleanliness they are for their country.

have you been to India? I heard their rich and poor parts have huge differences.

@wei-nihao No I have never been. But I heard bits of what their culture is like. But from my understanding is, that there is a huge difference in living standards, between each class. The segregation of the poor and the rich.
