@james Developed societies tend to focus in developing career, rather than building families units.

@komodo Nah, it's feminism.

@james That's one reason. According to some people, the rise of feminism result in more competition for jobs. That resulted in degradation of salary and leads to double family income, which then leads less focus of women on child bearing. So it's a catch 22.

But overall, it doesn't hurt for populations to take a break as countries become more developed.  That kinda explain the globalist movement. Companies to get cheap labor, sell more goods hence the sell out to uncontrolled migration.

@athena seems like most of the guys here blame feminism  but fails to realize the housewife lifestyle can only be afforded by rich upper class 🤣

@james In the US as recently as the 80's a factory worker could support a family of four without the wife working.  Feminism is a factor: a push for higher education for women, delayed child bearing, abortion, etc...However there are other factors too, more demands for comfort (ie a family now have multiple cars whereas they used to have 1, every one has a  cell phone, etc...), the strong hold if the labor unions pushing up salary contributing to  inflation and other factors driving up inflation. Of course as an educated woman, I always encourage women to pursue a career outside the home so that trend is not going to go away. I actually don't like the welfare state where the ones who have the most children are being supported by the government.
