Russian TV Spokesman: Russia will be "grinding up ... citizens of NATO countries"

This image that includes Vladimir Solovyov was posted within the article linked to below, which was posted on April 22. In a video posted within the same article, Solovyov also says that "When this operation concludes, NATO will have to ask itself: do we have what we need to defend ourselves? Do we have the people to defend ourselves? And there will be no mercy. There will be no mercy. Not only Ukraine will have (to) be denazified, the war against Europe and the world is developing a more specific outline which means we'll have to act differently and to act much more harshly."

Correction to Nuclear Threat Made on Russian Television

In the video above, the Russian state TV presenter says that it would take one RS-28 Sarmat missile to destroy Britain / England.

The island of Great Britain, which includes England, Scotland and Wales, has an area of 209,331 km2.

In 1961, the Soviet Union tested a nuclear weapon named the Tsar Bomba, which had an explosive yield of 50-58 megatons. The radius of total destruction, which is greater than just the radius of the fireball itself, was 35 km.

The area of total destruction can be calculated with the formula for the area of a circle, which is A = π x r2.

If we approximate π with the number 3.14159, then the approximate area of total destruction = (3.14159) X (35 km)2 = 3,848 km2.

Assuming that each Sarmat was armed with one Tsar Bomba, then the approximate number of missiles it would take to literally destroy all of Great Britain = (area of Great Britain) ÷ (area of total destruction for one Sarmat)
= (209,331 km2) ÷ (3,848 km2)
= 55 missiles

However, the weight of the Tsar Bomba was 60,000 lbs = 30 tons, while the payload capacity of the Sarmat is only 10 tons. If each Sarmat was loaded with the most powerful bomb it could actually carry, then an attack on the UK might well require even more than 55 missiles.

*******

Furthermore, according to the Wiki article about the Sarmat, it “… made its first test flight on 20 April 2022, and the Russian government expects the missile to enter service later in the year."

As long as Ukraine is "not losing" and preserves their fighting capability, Russia will find the war to be too costly for a small gain of tetorrities.

Putin found it easy to bully Georgia, sent troops to client states in Kazakhstan, Belarus, etc... but when it comes to Ukraine, Putin miscalculated. His military is not as effective as he thought it would be and Ukraine was not alone in its fight against Russia like Georgia was.

retired Russian Officer: Russian "military 'cannot compete' with Kyiv"

Above is a photo of Mikhail Khodaryonok, a retired Russian colonel. The image was posted within the article linked to below, and it is credited to Russia-1.

Speaking on Russian state TV channel Russia-1, Khodaryonok said that a general mobilization of the Russian military would not be of immediate help to the Russian war effort. Matériel losses can be replaced only through industrial production, and the production of new armaments takes time. For example, he said that it would take two years to build a new warship. The equipment that Russia has in reserve today consists of "weapons of yesteryear", and they would not do so well against current NATO weapons.

Khodaryonok also implied that the formation of new units takes time as well. For example, the creation of a new armored division would take about 3 months, and a new "fighter aviation regiment" would not be ready until "New Year's".

"Our source in the OP said that in the last two weeks we have lost more Bayraktar TB2s than in the entire war. The failure of the operation to storm the Snake island and unsuccessful flights to military facilities in Russia cost us 50 Bayraktar. The Turkish side has already expressed its dissatisfaction with the use of drones, but the General Staff has its own vision on the use of Bayraktar TB2"
