This photo was posted in a Daily Mail article about the May 9th victory parade in Moscow. I saw two other pictures in this article that included Soviet flags. This is one reason that I believe that Putin is a Bolshevik; if Putin really was another czar, why would he allow Communist flags in a parade? The Bolsheviks murdered Nicholas II and his family in 1918.

Before I go any further, thank you for making your previous post in a civil manner; I appreciate that.

Youre totally wrong, 1) Putin is not bolshevik, 2) the russian communist party is in opposition, and they criticized Putin many times. Do you really belive that a billionaire and his oligarch system can be communist? Putin reminds me rather the old czars. The Day of Victory and such celebrations are connect to the russian patriotism too.
I dont speak russian so i watched what do the hungarian communist leader Gyula Thürmer think about Putin and this war, he has a youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC-o...X3v3p5uwSreqjQ

He has talked with the belorussian, ukrainian and russian communists too and his opinion is very negative on Putin, and he want to stay neutral in this conflict.

response to 1) above: More reasons why I believe that Putin is a communist:

  • statement by a member of the Duma, who just said that Russia needed Beria (see my post on the previous page of this thread)
the following items are based on a post I made in another thread:
  • in Putin's first career, he was a KGB officer (1976-1991)
  • he has said that the collapse of the USSR was a catastrophe
  • in 2017, he gave the opening address to a meeting of a Communist youth group in the Russian city of Sochi
  • Earlier in this thread, I posted a news story that included a photo of a Russian armored vehicle flying a Soviet flag during the current war. One vehicle flying this flag is one thing, but it’s something else when this image is part of a video published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

Putin has never expressed any regret, remorse, or condemnation re the things above.

response to 2) above:

In 1940, Stalin's assassin murdered Trotsky while he was living in exile in Mexico. Both of them were steadfast, hardcore Communists, but their disagreement(s) progressed to the point that Stalin thought that liquidation was the best option. I say this to illustrate the point that genuine Communists can have very strong disagreements with each other.

Zelensky releases video on day of remembrance

On May 8, Ukraine, along with the entire civilized world, honors everyone who defended the planet from Nazism during World War II, but the phrase "Never Again" is perceived differently this year.

"This year we say 'Never again' differently. We hear ‘Never Again’ differently. It sounds painful, cruel. Without an exclamation, but with a question mark. You say, ‘Never again’. Tell Ukraine about it," President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in his video address on the occasion of the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, on May 8, our country, together with the entire civilized world, commemorates everyone who died during World War II: millions of lives lost, mutilated destinies, tortured souls and millions of reasons to tell evil: "Never again".

"We knew the price our ancestors paid for this courage, we knew how important it was to preserve it and pass it on to our descendants, but we had no idea that our generation would witness abuse of words that turned out to be not true for everyone," the President emphasized.

In turn, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny called the Armed Forces of Ukraine the first army of peace.

"Never again ... Unfortunately, this is not the case. A bloody insidious war is again ongoing in the center of Europe. The aggressor cynically uses the memory and terms of World War II. But we will endure. We are strong. The Armed Forces of Ukraine is the first army of peace. We defeated Nazism and we will defeat Ruscism! Eternal memory to the victims of World War II! Glory to the Ukrainian soldiers!” Zaluzhny posted on Telegram.

On May 8, Ukraine marks the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation to commemorate the victims of World War II.

On February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced a full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops shell and destroy infrastructure, massively fire on residential areas of Ukrainian cities, towns, and villages using artillery, MLRS, and ballistic missiles.

Drones can be used effectively to kill patrol ships.

Watch out China. Even if your enemy doesnt have a navy, it doesnt mean they cant inflict losses on your navy. In fact your ships can become sitting ducks in a drone warfare.

Because of how drone strikes being so effective against Russian army, we can say that Russia has failed to modernize its military. They only succeed in mordernizing the villas and yatchs of their military officials.

For those who say autocracy/dictatorship can do long term planning while democracy/republic can do only 4 years plan, this war shows that autocracy is about installing incompetent yes men, not competent people who can challenge people at the top.

Autocracy is about 1 smart guy leading bunch of dumb folks & eliminating other smart guys, a wolf leading bunch of sheeps while democracy is about a smart guy having the command & respect of bunch of smart folks, a leader of the pack leading wolves pack.

Why Russia loses in Ukraine

For a small gain of tetorrities, Putin has exposed Russia as a declining power. What is the true image of Russia as a military power?

1) Lack of training & combat experience

2) Lack of morale

3) Lack of logistics

4) Military structure problem & human wave tactics

(bureaucratic command structure not allowing quick decisions to be made by people on the ground, doubling down on sending more troops and tanks through an easily ambushed area or a military chokepoint, favourtism to FSB downgrading the coordination between different branches of the military)

5) Being an advertiser for Turkish drones and NATO weapons

(Russia suffering high losses of tanks & military vehicles due to Turkish drones and NATO weapons being used in Ukraine's forest & urban areas)

6) Lack of soft power & being inferior to US in information warfare

(being condemned by various medias and having the military communications and plannings exposed by US intelligence to the world or leaked to the Ukrainian military)

7) Deficiencies in military technology

(consumer-grade GPS devices in SU-34, resorting to using crude artilery and dumb bombs as the war drags on, etc...)

8) Losing economic progress

(NATO countries bringing down the Russian economy to the level of Soviet era)
