NYC teen stabbed to death at Manhattan subway station (nypost.com)

The victim knew his attacker, who fled at the station, police said. The assailant was described as 18 or 19 years old with an Afro and wearing an orange shirt and black pants.

Someone who matched the description of one of the individuals was later taken into custody, Chief of Transit Jason Wilcox told reporters at a news conference on Saturday night.

The male suspect was suffering from stab wounds to the back and the abdomen and was taken to a local hospital. His role in the stabbing is unclear at this time, Wilcox said.

The attack does not appear random, Wilcox added.

The MTA partially suspended 1 train service because of the  police investigation.

A hard-working Manhattan bodega clerk who was forced to grab a knife to fend off a violent ex-con, now finds himself sitting behind bars at the notorious Rikers Island jail charged with murder and unable to post $250,000 bail.

The sky-high bail for Jose Alba — who has no known criminal history — was just half of what controversial Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office demanded, despite surveillance video showing the clerk being assaulted by his alleged victim in the bodega.

Alba, 51, was charged with the fatal stabbing of Austin Simon, 35, who can be seen storming behind the counter at the Hamilton Heights Grocery on Broadway and West 139th Street to attack the store worker Friday night.

“It was either him or the guy at the moment,” Alba’s daughter Yulissa told The Post Wednesday, saying it was a case of self-defense.

“He’s never hurt anybody. He’s never had an altercation where he had to defend himself. This is the first time for him.”

New York City was rocked by two fatal shootings that have left three people dead and another in a critical condition over the weekend.

The shootings occurred within minutes of each other on Saturday evening, sparking fears of an uptick in violence amid the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Surveillance footage obtained by DailyMail.com shows both shootings.

Shortly before 8pm, video taken from surveillance video shows about eight people gathered outside a bodega at East 112th Street and First Avenue in East Harlem.

Several other people scatter, including one person who ducks back into the bodega and slams the door shut.

Upon arrival, officers discovered three men at the location with multiple gunshot wounds. Two died and one was in critical condition.

Minutes later in Crown Heights, a man wearing a red hoodie, jeans and white sneakers could be seen walking up behind 31-year-old Paul Hoilett of Brooklyn on Buffalo Avenue, and shooting him in the back of the head.

The NYPD is hunting for three man who were filmed knocking over a pedestrian crossing the street then robbing him as he lay unconscious in the street. 

The sickening incident was caught on surveillance camera. It shows the three men knocking over the victim, an unnamed 39-year-old man, on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 6.40am. 

They plowed right into the man, sending him flying in the air.
