Any Filipinos here that can share their experiences?
do they see us as a threat?
On the mainland only apolitical religions like zen-Buddhism are truly acceptable. The others are tolerated but not allowed to proselytize.
yeah, because Christianity used to be very political, they tried to be "state priests". They've been reformed, starting with protestants, with separation of church and state, so they're well integrated into western style countries.
There was some attempt to reconcile between China and Vatican. You probably know Catholics were aggressively anti-communist in Europe, in the 1950's there was even an assassination plan against Mao by four Catholics.
Religions have to lose their teeth and lose some of their ambition, to be truly positive for the world. I think protestants reformed well in that sense. Communists needs their own reformation too, less teeth and less ambition, which CCP really tried to do starting in the 1990's.
do you see the behavior of FLG today? they are not normal sensible people who only care about spirituality. You can't just call anything a religion and say you must have freedom. There's such a thing as banned cults.
have you studied European history?
Europe was being invaded by Muslims and asiatic barbarians.
isn't that what the Chinese are doing to the Muslims right now
Koreans are more open with Christianity, Many Korean Christian groups come to the Philippines to help out other Filipinos.
is there any connections with the Chinese Christians & the Filipino Christians?
