Most elder Filipinos vote republican because they want preserve the christian values of America, they are afraid that leftwing extreme librals will destory america.
example: Us government forcing churches to marry gays/lesbians. left removing ' God Bless America'' etc.
recently from the data that i looked at. most younger filipinos are now swinging to democrats which needs to stop as well.
