I went to Firefly Music Festival in Dover, Delaware over the weekend and the security guards tried to prevent my two brothers from coming in specifically because we are Asian. I've tried to get in contact with the music festival via all social media outlets and email. It would mean a lot if I could get some help gaining more visibility for my tweet! Most of these security guards are outsourced, and have little to do with the festival organizers. I get your frustration, and the most that will happens is that they likely won't work their festivals again. You'd have to track down their employers and write to them directly.
I mean I’m from North Carolina which is some real yeehaw shit down there yet I haven’t experienced racism like that ever at any concert. I’ve also been to festivals in Georgia and Texas and have no experienced that racism. Those 2 security guards were the only ones at that entrance so I had to go through there. The other entrance was a hella of a walk away. I’m still pissed, it’s so frustrating for these racist aggressions to continue happening in this age
