fellow Floridian here; since its like 200°+ out here on any given day I absolutely recommend sunscreen. I use a CeraVe AM moisturizer, and apply all over my face every morning-- you don't really need too much, I find that a little goes a long way w moisturizing cream/lotion!
(for context I p much follow the basic routine from r/skincareaddiction like another commenter below has recommended)
(Edit: miss
Good cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Honestly finding the right cleanser has done more for me than any of the toners/serums I’ve used, I have really dry skin so after switching to something more gentle it healed right up.
I also use vitamin C serum for acne scars/uneven coloration, it’s pretty strong stuff so not every day. That and a lot of acids can make your skin more vulnerable to sunburns
ed a word)
A good base would be twice daily: Step 1. Mild cleanser Step 2. Moisturizer Step 3. (For daytime only) sunscreen. People add in extra cleansing/ serum/ exfoliating steps to that basic routine to try to achieve various results but it's not always necessary.
