^ I think these videos confirm that most Koreans and Japanese were very tanned back then. It's not the camera because this shot in the first video shows white people as white.

Some people were very light skinned too. Maybe they didn't stay in hot sun or get dirty by dust.

I converted to grey scale to check and her face is as light as her shirt.

That means back then, SEA and NEA didnt' look a whole lot different. Maybe that's a good thing.:)

I don't know the history behind but most college stopped wearing them in 1960's.

The male college uniform looked somewhat similar with old high school uniform. The difference was that college students also wore cloak-like coats and the shape of hat (or cap) was different from high school one. Also, since 1950's, Hanbok was replaced by western style blouse and skirt for female students until it disappeared.

lol School uniforms have another advantage, too. You really cannot tell who are wealthy or poor. Everyone was equal at least by what they wore so there's less class conscious among classmates.
However, if someone came from a wealthy family and likes to show off his/her fancy designer clothes, this can be disadvantage for them.

There's the former president Lee Myungbak in this old high school photo. Like many old photos everyone looks so serious. Can anyone guess which one is him?

Bottom center is correct. He surely aged well.

This was when he was young. He was in Thailand at that time working as an engineer for Hyundai construction company.
