What's the gun policy in the Philippines, is it the same as the USA?
I think that noone should be allowed to buy guns legally period. I know it will be hard to defend yourself, but do as told and usually they'll leave you without physical harm.
Get a good insurance so you can claim everything back but seriously, less weapons also means harder to get weapons on the black market for the criminals.

I actually feel sorry for the dude with the yellow helmet in post 4. Damn man, did you see his blood spurting out of his stomache?
He didn't even held the gun, he just looks like a jackass, lowlife criminal. Still no reason to kill the dude. I bet it's his first robbery as his reaction after the first shots were fired was like of a novice in the game, he didn't know what to do.
And the dude in black doesn't even know how to hold a gun properly. It might not even be loaded, however still no reason to threathen someone with death, I don't think he should've been killed either as both of them were about to leave without harming the victims.
A good cop or security guard knows where to shoot without killing.

Sorry, I'm just a guy who doesn't kill (unless it's to calm the hunger), I prefer to torture.

The Philippines HAVE TIGHTER gun control laws. You have to register/license even handguns and once it expires you cannot carry it.

American gun laws are LOOSE. You only need permit IF you're using concealed carry (if you're gonna hide it) but if you carry it openly (ie holster on your belt) it's legal. You can buy pretty much anything with exception of large guns and automatic weapons with just a background check (sometimes if you show certain ID's like military ID, small civilian vendors don't even do that....buddy of mine bought an AR15 in a gun show just showing ID).

The difference is just like anywhere is execution/enforcement. In fact in most cases in most countries laws are stricter than American laws...American laws are just more enforced.

Hell no. Imagine if you're the security guard in that situation, you have TWO gunmen, you're going to point a gun and expect them not to shoot? Hell no, I'd done what he did.

Sumpit, YOU NEVER KNOW what people are capable of. I understand if those two guys were unarmed, but how do you know they weren't going to shoot? You willing to risk your life to find out? How do you know in the heat of the moment it's their first robbery? You're willing to risk your life, your family burying you because you felt bad about two azzholes who CHOSE to use a deadly weapon to get what they want?

Hell no, he did the right thing. 

There's a saying in the Bible, "Live by the sword die by the sword." Unless you're willing to die by it, don't wield it. 

The more we tolerate azzholes who use violence as a means to threaten others, the more of them will be around. End it right there.

I'm not going to lie, I can tell you I would and say I'd be a good Christian, but in reality had I ever been a situation I'll be a human being like Apostle Peter, I'd probably let the c0ck thrice crow. 

To be honest though no offense but your situation wasn't as black and white as these motherfckerz. Yeah it could've been scary, but reality there was no barrel wielding in your face. There was no, will my kids and wife see me come home through those doors or will they see me come home through those doors in a coffin. 

Self preservation is a gift from God (otherwise why'd he say we should 'value' life). I say preserve yourself so you can do more good, and sow more seeds of good. If we let c0cksvckers like those run rampant, others will only sow same things. Imagine then how much poor and meek they'll victimize. 

Sometimes God call you to be the instrument of war; sometimes you just need to do it and let the Almighty sort them out.

Note I'm not asking to be 'actively' seeking evil, I'm saying if you were in the crossroad where evil put you in the spot between a rock and hard place, God I pray you choose yourself (your wife, your family, your friends, your life) and let'em have it.

If it ever was a sin, even in the back of your mind, at least you live another day to repent.
